| The steep hill rises above the Cardener River. The Gothic Basilica of La Seu, also known as the Collegiate Basilica of Santa Maria, was built in the 14th and 15th centuries. It was designed by Berenguer de Montagut, the same architect of the church of Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona.
