| Wow. This picture is what we saw during totality - taken from a NASA site, obviously with high-tech equipment. Our totality lasted two minutes, one second. We could do nothing, abandoning our cameras (even Tim) to look at the stars, planets, corona, moon and the horizons around us which were 360 degrees of sunrise or sunset with reds and purples everywhere. It was remarkably colder. The cicadas, crickets, and birds which had been increasingly noisy were silenced. As said before, Tim, Andrew, and Brenda were flat on their backs in the grass and Judy and Bill were rooted to the ground. Even the 80 children fell silent. The air was nearly a vacuum. It was profoundly impressive. And then a spark of diamond-like brilliance as the moon continued its journey. And we all put our glasses back on.
